MOSCOW, Aug 1 (PRIME) -- Russian oil producer Gazprom Neft can receive a tax refund of 13.5 billion rubles per year for 10 years for the Priobskoye field, which contains hard-to-recover oil, business daily Kommersant reported on Thursday, citing sources.
President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on July 10 on incentives in the oil industry, where two letters concerning tax incentives for Rosneft and Gazprom Neft for Priobskoye were considered. The president agreed with both letters.
Rosneft asked for a tax refund of 46 billion rubles per year for 10 years. The companies would invest the saved money in the drilling on Priobskoye in order to prevent an abrupt fall of output.
